HOMEMADE SWEET TREAT

When you hear our in-house nutritional therapist Liz Sheehan says that a tasty sweet treat makes her happy you listen. And when we tried her homemade energy balls, we were mighty satisfied and happy too. We think you will be too and are sharing the sweet happy vibes, please let us know what you think.

Ingredients:
• 1 cup ground almonds
• 1 cup desiccated coconut
• 1 cup tahini or almond/hazelnut butter
• ¼ cup raw cacao
• ¼ cup goji berries – optional
• ¼ – ½ cup hemp seeds or other seed mixes
• pinch Himalayan salt
• squeeze lemon juice
• ¼ cup-ish maple syrup to sweeten and bind ingredients together

Optional:
• spirulina/maca
• peppermint/orange doTerra oils
• or vanilla extract
• pumpkin/sunflower/flax seeds

Method:
• mix ingredients in a bowl
• make into balls – if they are a bit wet add more ground almond or desiccated coconut
• store in the fridge
